Charleston is filled with iconic wedding venues, from historic houses to breathtaking outdoor spaces. A Magnolia Plantation wedding offers the best of both worlds with pristine vistas and a carriage house perfect for idyllic portraits and a romantic, intimate reception. Priscilla was on hand for Sara and Brian’s beautiful day at this amazing venue, and we’re so happy to share her favorite moments with you today. Sara was a vision in her wispy dress with lace accents trailing down the skirt from the lace bodice. Pearls in the hair brooch and earrings complimented the crystals in the necklace and bracelet to make a gorgeous, glittering effect to match her dazzling smile. Brian was as stunned as we were when he turned to see his beautiful bride-to-be. Sporting a steel grey three piece suit, he complimented Sara perfectly, and they looked just so amazing standing with each other and strolling downtown Charleston before heading to Magnolia Plantation.
The intimate ceremony took place beneath one of the plantation’s huge live oaks with the marsh of the Ashley River stretching into the distance. Spanish moss hung from the wide branches over the intimate gathering below, adding an idyllic touch. After the duo recited their vows and shared a lovely, sweet kiss, they turned to face their gathered guests with the widest grin. It was time to get the party started! Priscilla led the newlyweds away for a few portraits before the reception began and they just looked so amazing walking beneath the oaks. Their smiles filled the air with brightness and their laughter echoed through the plantation.
At the carriage house, the family style tables were dotted with succulents, white roses and gold metallic votives for a southern chic feel with a ton of romance thrown in. The warm golden light from the bulbs above reflected a soft glow off of the rustic wood tables for a gorgeous atmosphere that we’re still talking about. The guests enjoyed delectable dinner selections from Cru Catering and then a scrumptious dessert bar courtesy of Wildflour Pastry before taking to the dance floor to let loose. In the midst of it all, swaying to the music holding onto one another, Sara and Brian were a perfect vision of serenity.
Thank you both so much for letting us join in on such an amazing day. We had a blast! We wish you nothing but good health and happiness in the many years to come. Congratulations again!
